Shipping policy

Shipping times

We ship items all over the world and welcome both Australian and International customers. 

All deliveries are sent:

• Fully Insured,
• using a Tracked Delivery Service, and 
• include the added security of Signature on Delivery. 

We use Australia Post for Australian deliveries. For delivery times to your destination see here for the latest updates. 

International parcels are sent using Australia Post International Express, an expedited delivery service. For delivery times to your destination see here for the latest updates. 

We aim to dispatch items within 1–3 business days after purchase.

You will receive a notification once your order has been sent with a tracking number.

Australian standard deliveries

Standard delivery is free of charge for all orders unless specified that a product does not qualify for free shipping. For items that will incur a shipping charge, this will be added at checkout.

International deliveries

The delivery charge for your order will calculate in your cart. However, if you have any questions about international delivery, please email info@georgegen.com.au.

International postage will vary depending on location and weight. Please add your item(s) to the cart and enter your shipping address to see the postage cost.

In instances where your order does not automatically calculate shipping in the cart this is likely because your order will require a custom shipping quote, please email info@georgegen.com.au for a custom quote.

We try to keep delivery costs as low as possible for our international customers and these costs reflect the additional fees required to pack and insure parcels for international postage.

Parcels cannot be sent to PO Boxes as part of this service.

Duties, Taxes and Custom Requirements

USA CUSTOMERS

Please note that in accordance with current US regulations a 10% global import surcharge applies on all items sent to the US from Australia. This surcharge will be paid in full by Georgegen prior to shipping your parcel and is not the responsibility of the buyer.

For all international customers, please note that all prices and charges do not include import duties and local taxes. Delivery of items outside Australia may be liable for additional duty and customs charges. Additional charges for customs clearance are the responsibility of the buyer. Georgegen has no control or responsibility over these charges and they reflect the customs and policies held by the final destination country. 

Nor is Georgegen responsible for any confiscation or held items by a country’s customs department. It is the responsibility of the buyer to investigate all local customs and import rules prior to purchase.

The buyer is responsible for paying any and all customs duties and fees. Packages may also be subject to delays clearing customs. We do our best to comply with all requirements to speed up this process as much as possible, but have no control over these situations. 

Oversized pieces

For items that are too large to post we arrange a courier service to deliver these and there will be a fee for this service. Such products are clearly labelled as requiring a custom shipping quote. Please contact us for a quote before purchasing such an item.

Packaging 

All items are very securely wrapped and packed for transit. In the interests of the environment, we try to re-use packing materials where possible. As a lot of items are fragile, they require additional packaging to ensure they are securely packed in a way that minimises the chance of damage during the shipping process.
