The catalogue of an exhibition of expressive painting after Picasso that was held at Galerie Beyeler, Basel, from October to December 1983. The exhibited artists were Pierre Alechinsky, Karel Appel, Francis Bacon, Georg Baselitz, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Sandro Chia, Francesco Clemente, Enzo Cucchi, Martin Disler, Jean Dubuffet, Asger Jorn, Willem de Kooning, Joan Miro, Mimmo Paladino, A.R. Penck, Pablo Picasso, Jackson Pollock, Jean-Paul Riopelle, Jean-Paul Riopelle and Antoni Tapies. The contents include an essay by Siegfried Gohr and a list of the 60 exhibited works. Illustrated throughout with colour plates. The text of the catalogue is in German.
